Seven things about me, eh? I blab so much here already! :)
well, I:
1. am a good roller skater. Forward and backward.
2. manage to kill or nearly kill an awful lot of houseplants. This year, I tried herbs and they were nearly massacred by some caterpillars. Rescued them a few weeks ago, but they are not out of the danger zone yet. Plants, kept outside, usually last just fine.
3. feel drawn to the east coast. My mom is an upstate New Yorker, and my pop is from Bucks County, PA. So it figures that I get born in the hilly desert town of Riverside, CA. What? Exactly.
4. tried on other careers a few years back. Aside from composing for tv (ghost writing and mostly loop-based stuff, not rocket science) the most promising leads came from music supervision. It's not what it sounds like...it's licensing songs for tv and film. Since I love pop music and know a lot of bands and their managers, it seemed a good fit.
It was not. Good god I love teaching.
5. have worn glasses since I was a little kid. Without them, I am a half a point away from being legally blind. I will probably need surgery in the next few years to correct my nearsightedness before the age 40-lens hardening occurs and makes me completely useless! The glasses I wear now make my eyes look kinda small, and it bothers me. My first pair were orange and had Snoopy on the side.
6. am so, so, so scared of cockroaches. Not snakes or spiders or mice. Just roaches. Brown. Shiny. Fast. Bleh.
7. knit. I just love it! Maybe it's the womenfolk-ness of it. Or maybe it's the zen like repetition and then a visible, creative result. Place your holiday orders now.
And now, I shall tag...my friend Terami, and Mr. Mike.

Roaches, huh? THese will make roaches seem like teddy bears... just pray you don't come across one of these: actually, I'll be nicer. Google "house centipedes" but please not before you're about to eat. I dare you...
Oh, I know centipedes. They used to come up through the drain and my cat would play with them. Not afraid of them...though I am no big fan. :)
what?? No fair.... my cats didn't even care. I was left to kill them almost every day in the summer (the apartment had windows with drafts). They're indoor, lazy cats. House centipedes move pretty fast and look so disgusting that you don't even want to look at them, let alone kill 'em.
Flying roaches are pretty bad too. Last time I went to FL, the roach was as big as my pinky finger :X Just keep that Raid handy, what can you do?
Sorry for the rant.... but house centipedes creep me out. *shudders*
Enjoyed your list with the pics!
Another "grossie" bug is the silverfish
...eeeewwwwwwwwww.
Oh bleh! Nothing worse than opening up a lovely old book and finding a flat silverfish. Gick city.
They're even worse when they're in motion. Talk about fast ... I couldn't believe it the first time I saw one scoot across the basement floor.
are we talking about tiny silverfish or some giant breed of it? silverfish... psssh :)
I finally posted my 7 things... thanks for the tag!
